YEAR 3 NEON + R: DATA ANALYSIS WORKSHOP
Hopland, California
The Year 3 NEON + R: Data Analysis Workshop was held on October 7 - 1, 2023. Emerge fellows traveled to Hopland, California to stay at the University of California - Hopland Research and Extension Center (HREC) where they spent three full days and four nights. Days were spent mining and analyzing aquatic NEON data with Program R, working in teams from our Online Collaboration Meetings. Guest speakers included Stephanie Parker (NEON) and Lily Elola (UC-Berkely's GrizzlyCorps). Special thanks to Hannah Bird (HREC, Community Educator) for helping to organize the visit.
Emerge funded 3 undergraduate students, 11 graduate students, and 3 early career professional (total: 17) to participate. This workshop was led by Co-PI Dan McGarvey with support from Co-PI Tina Mendez, and Breanna Ondich (Emerge Program Coordinator).
